BIOGRAPHY:
Toby Chapman is an influential and inspiring session musician, writer, producer, singer and player with an enviable CV that spans from the early '80s through to the current day. On top of this, he is an accomplished keyboard and guitar player in his own right.
Toby has produced, collaborated on and co-written many songs and has extensive and diverse experience in the genres of Pop, Rock, Country and "modern classical" (touring and directing with Il Divo on their 2006 & 2007 world tours).
To people in the industry, his work is recognised for its high standard as is his dedication and professionalism - attributes which have earned Toby repeat assignments and accolades.
For more than 25 years, Toby has worked for major labels on new and established artists. In addition to this, he has significant experience of working one-on-one for independent, up-and-coming artists.
Toby has most recently been back in the studio; contributing to the production of Michael Ball’s latest album If Everyone Was Listening, and putting the final touches to Jackie Evancho’s (winner of America’s Got Talent) debut album.
Toby performed live with Spandau Ballet on their sell-out 2015 World Tour, covering; USA, UK, Europe, Australasia and the Far East.
He has been performing with Sir Tom Jones on a recent trip to Australia, playing a number of intimate shows and finishing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and additionally, performing on Sir Tom's 2009 Europe & UK tour. Previously, Toby has worked with; Lionel Richie, Westlife on their 2008 world tour, Il Divo as assistant musical director on their last two world tours as well as Girls Aloud, Blue, Emma Bunton and Kelly Clarkson.
Earlier in Toby's career, he has worked with established names such as, Kylie Minogue, Rod Stewart, Paul Carrack, Mick Jagger, Cher, Tina Turner, Spandau Ballet, Paul Weller on a variety of projects.
